An inductee of the Washington Business Hall of Fame, Oliver is also Chairman Emeritus of George Washington University’s Board of Trustees, former Chairman of the Greater Washington Board of Trade and a former Trustee of the Federal City Council. In addition to Carr Hospitality and Carr City Centers, Oliver is Founder and Chairman of Carr Workplaces, a national workplace solutions company, and Carr Community Foundation (previously known as Rising Stars), 501(c) (3) Private Foundation dedicated to the support of organizations which help at-risk children succeed within their education and in their community’s. In 2016, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Urban Land Institute.
